11/30/21 - This is a super rare G Date Mauser Luger rig that was initially issued to the German Army but later diverted to their police. There were only 500-1,000 of this variation produced, all in the late 'e' serial block or early 'f' block for the G Date variation. This one is all matching and original, including one of the police-numbered magazines. The grips are WW2 originals but mismatched to the pistol. The pistol still retains about 98% of the original blue, with minor holster wear at the muzzle and on the right side rail. Otherwise, it's beautiful without with excellent straw remaining on the small parts. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. The listing includes a spare police magazine and an unmarked tool. It's completed by an original G Date police holster from 1935. The holster is also police-numbered but mismatched to this gun. It shows some wear and age all over, but no major issues. The fastening strap is missing the stitching on one side, and there's a hole in the tool pouch.
